‘Always a Student before a Teacher’

When I was 17 I experienced a yoga class where the instructor led me to feel more at peace and at home within myself than I had ever known was possible. That was the day I decided I wanted to be a Yoga Teacher.

In 2012 I enrolled in the 200hr RYTT at The Bhaktishop - then under the ownership of Lisa Mae Osborn- in Portland, OR. Bhakti Yoga is a philosophy based practice of Love and Devotion, teaching me from the beginning that there is so much more to this practice than the shapes. We studied Hatha asanas with a focus on anatomy and alignment. Form and fuction are always first and foremost.

Graduating the program in 2013 I began teaching at the Shop and menteed under Monicka Koneski for three months. I was so ready for more - I jumped into the Prenatal and Postpartum RYTT with Shana Celnicker-Chong. I was lucky enough to experience this training while pregnant with my firstborn - feeling firsthand how beneficial these specialized classes can be- beginning teaching these classes in 2014.

Many years and multiple studios from Portland OR to Walla Walla WA later……lead me to where I am today. Kaleidoscope has become my home studio and community I love. My private clients are incredibly humans who I am humbled to explore this practice with.

Over the last 6 years I adopted a strength training practice into my own routine. Over the last 3 years I have taught strength training in both Heated Sculpt classes at Kaleidoscope Studios, and private session.

My Approach

Functional fitness is the name of the game. I use yogic foundations for all forms of movement; focusing on aiding the development of proprioception (your body's ability to sense its own position, movement, and orientation in space) to assist in any physical goals you might have.

From gentle hatha to rigorous vinyasa, to goals with inversions: we will tailor these sessions towards exactly what your wanting to play with.

Injury prevention, injury healing, or simply overall strength building and body toning. Whatever your strength goals are, we can map out a clear plan to get you there.
